Misc. Craft Room Organization Ideas

 

Here are the remaining ways I organize my craft room. After these last few weeks of show and tell, I’ve come to realize, I need a bigger craft room. 😉 I hope you’re able to use some of my ideas in your space. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. 😊

Ink Pad Storage

I’ve been collecting ink pads for such a long time, so the storage solutions grew as the collection did. I have several ways of storing them as you can see in the photos. I’d love a single organizer and know there are great options out there, unfortunately I don’t have the space for it. ☹️

Paper Punch Organization

 

Punches are so quick and easy to use, it’s storing them that’s difficult. I found plastic soda can holders at Dollar tree, so I placed the punches that stand upright in those, then on a metal rolling cart. The punches with handles are hanging on my closet walls. I found metal kitchen towel bars at IKEA that work well for this storage solution. I keep small miscellaneous punches in a plastic container under the rolling cart.

Stamp Set Storage

As you’ll notice I have lots of stamps. Storing them, especially the wood stamps, is challenging. I used shoe racks for the wood stamp sets and a book case for the sets in cases. The miscellaneous sets are stored in bins with handles. Each of these sets are in individual cello bags and categorized. It’s basically the same way I store my metal cutting dies. If I had a few hundred free hours 😆 I’d love to change my wood stamps to cling stamps. It would free up so much space.

Die storage and organization

 

I store the majority of my dies in bins with handles. Each metal set is placed on a magnetic sheet, then inside Avery Elle Stamp and Die Storage Pockets. My Stampin’ Up! metal dies are stored in baskets and Bigz dies on shelves. I actually think metal dies are easy to store and take little space, which I’m grateful for because I have lots. 😆

Paper Storage

 

Who else loves paper?! 😁 Yep, another of my obsessions. You’ll discover I have many. 😂 My 12 x 12 paper is stored vertical and my 8.5 x 11 is stored horizontal. This is only for space reasons. I keep my solid color scrap paper in an expandable file and my pattern paper scraps in a filing cabinet. Again, only for space reasons. Do you keep paper scraps? I actually use them more than full sheets. I have an area for my 12 x 12 paper pads and store them vertical as well. I keep those scraps clipped inside their corresponding pad. My 6 x 6 paper pads are kept in bins with handles and their scraps are kept in envelopes attached to the back of the corresponding pad.

Ribbon Organization

 

Now that you’ve seen my craft room, let’s open some drawers and/or doors to see how I organize. Let’s start with ribbon, I love ribbon! I found these spice racks at The Container Store, years ago. Due to my ribbon fetish, I had to hang additional racks I found at IKEA, on the spice racks. These are mounted to walls in my closet. I keep the tulle, which I consider a form of ribbon, in a drawer.  I put my ribbon scraps in a hanging organizer on the back of my door. It’s separated by color and holiday. Oh no, I completely forgot about my twines, Christmas ribbon and textured ribbons. 😆 I keep those in clear boxes in the closet too.

My Happy Place

A few weeks ago, when the temperatures were in the 100’s, I stayed inside rearranging and organizing my craft room. I truly love organizing, so while it was time consuming, I enjoyed myself. 😁 Here’s a look at the outcome.  Over the next few weeks, I’ll share some of the ways I organize my belongings.
