I've never created a gate fold card before. Have you? It's not as simple as folding a card in half, but the outcome is worth it. I started with a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock and scored it on the 8 1/2" side at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8". The two pieces of pattern paper are 5 1/2" x 1 7/8". The belly band can be any width you like, mine is 1" x 9". If you haven't tried a gate fold card, give it a try. It's a fun alternative to a regular card.
