Scalloped Backpack

I was so excited to try one of these backpacks and then I did it and realized how much time and effort it took (wow.)  Luckily most of it was created for me because I used the (discontinued) :( Stampin, Up! bag w/scallop, bigz die.  It's the little pouch on the front that made it so time consuming.  It had to be small which made it hard to create.  I got out the score pal and guessed on the measurements which is what I usually do but, this time it seemed more difficult.  I still think it's the sweetest little thing and just in time for a great back to school project.

Sweet Pea Milk Carton

I made this clear milk carton long ago but just couldn't think of what to put inside.  I had a few pink and white jelly beans left over from another project and thought they would be cute for a baby girl project.  So... this is what I came up with.  Wouldn't this make a cute favor for a baby shower?

You're In My Heart Card

This card was inspired by a card in Paper Crafts magazine.  I was flipping through the pages and saw several cards designed around this layout.  I liked the look of the circle with the diagonal line crossing over it.  It sure makes it easier when you have an inspiration to begin with.

Hummingbird Bag

I really love my Big Shot.  Of course I used it to cut and texture this bag.  The texture on this bag is the new Stampin' Up!, Vintage Wallpaper textured impressions embossing folder.  It's a bit more luxurious than I usually go for but, I thought I'd give it a try.  I'm glad I did... it's beautiful.  Besides, I need to step outside my comfort zone as much as possible.  I've been happy with my projects when I've taken that step and this project is no exception.

Frog Box

Here's a little something for him.  It's not often I make anything for the boys.  However, with a few modifications this box is versatile enough for him or her.  I made the top and bottom with the Stampin' Up!, top note.  It took a few tries to get the fold just right but I like the shape the top note gives it.  I think it's cute, I don't think the boys would say, "cute" but, they will say "yummy!"  :)  PS - I did color the frog green but, you can't tell from this photo :(

Friend To Friend Card

The vintage violet cardstock I used to make this card is a dark color but not as dark as this photo looks.  The card really is much nicer than my photography skills. :)  I'm reminded of the words on my vehicle's outside mirror... objects in the photo are nicer than they appear. LOL

Popcorn Bag

I saw this idea on another web-site and thought it was the cutest.  Don't you think this would make a great gift for a teenager?  They're not easy to get gifts for but, I think they would enjoy this.  I used the fancy favor bigz die. I was happy to finally use this popcorn stamp I've had forever.  I put liquid applique on the popcorn to give it the "puffed" look.  You know.... these would be fun for a stay at home movie night with the family.

Best Wishes Purse

A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine left my place of employment to pursue a wonderful new responsibility, foster parenting.  I'm so happy for her new direction in life but, I will miss her.  I made this little purse for her as a going away gift.  It's bright and cheerful and I wanted her to leave in happy spirits for her new adventure.  I wish her all the best!
